Today the Isle of Man swimming community has pulled together and absolutely smashed out the miles! Between 8am and 4pm, both our ladies and men’s teams “travelled” the distance to Orkney and back—an incredible team effort and show of spirit. Special mention to Adrian Beale, who cycled for the entire 8 hours—what a machine!

Men’s Team: 712.5 miles
Ladies’ Team: 703.2 miles

Huge congratulations to the men’s team for taking the win, but honestly, every mile counted, and every person who got involved made this a brilliant day.

We’re also incredibly grateful for the amazing support from the community and the kind loan of Meadow West IOM, which made today possible. Thank you!

Sadly, due to circumstances outwith their control, the world Tin Bath Races—and therefore the Snake Race—were cancelled yesterday and have now been postponed until September.

There is still plenty of time to donate towards this amazing teams venture to Orkney which you can do here.

Fundraising efforts are now underway to support our swim team as they prepare to compete at the Island Games.
Competing at this level requires significant resources, and every contribution helps ensure our athletes have the support they need to perform at their best.
If you are in a position to assist, or if you know of any businesses or corporate sponsors who may be interested in supporting the team, we would love to hear from you. Together, we can help our swimmers reach their goals and proudly represent the Island.
Details of our upcoming fundraising weekend can be found here.

Alternatively, if you would like to make a donation you can do that here.
