In 1985, as part of a Year of Sport, the Isle of Man set in motion an exciting and ambitious plan to bring together athletes from small islands across the world to take part in a new sporting festival — the ‘Inter-Island Games’.

After a week of events in eight different sports the festival was deemed such a success it was agreed to continue it every other year and the Isle of Man has been represented at each games since.

The games have grown exponentially from humble beginnings and swimming has been a mainstay of the compettion and we have seen some truly remarkable results in the pool.

The next games is scheduled for July 2025 and will take place in Orkney, details can be found via the links below and consideration standards can be found here.
